Amanda Short has 15 years of professional experience assisting clients in achieving financial and operational improvements. Ms. Short has experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Her expertise includes performance transformation, non-labor expense management, workforce management, interim management, revenue cycle and clinician engagement. Ms. Short has been successful in working with organizations to build sustainable operational and financial results.
Ms. Short is also experienced in leading clients through strategic transformations through data analytics, contract management, revenue cycle management leadership and non-labor initiatives. Ms. Short has been successful in identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement opportunities. Most recently, Ms. Short has led a multistate, post-acute organization through multiple revenue cycle strategic initiatives, including a revenue cycle restructure. Ms. Short has been successful at meeting organizations where they are in their current maturity and operationalizing plans to increase revenue and expense management programs.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, while at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (“UPMC”), Ms. Short led strategic sourcing initiatives in the areas of patient monitoring, dialysis, pediatrics, pharmacy automation, and others. Ms. Short facilitated cross-functional teams while successfully driving sourcing initiatives that reduce costs, maximize profits, and minimize organizational risk for large integrated delivery networks.
Ms. Short received her B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration on Supply Chain Management and Marketing from Duquesne University.
