About Angie
Angie Gorman is a Managing Director in the Strategic Communications segment at FTI Consulting, and Americas Head for the segment’s Employee Engagement & Change Management specialty practice. She is based in Chicago.
Ms. Gorman brings deep experience in communicating organizational changes to stakeholders in a way that enables them to be productive during times of transition. For nearly 30 years, she has provided communications counsel to internal and external clients around critical issues impacting their enterprise value and corporate reputation, including corporate branding; digital assets (e.g., intranets, social media, websites); executive communication; issues management; media relations; mergers and acquisitions (M&A); restructuring activities; reward and recognition programs; strategic transformation and change; sustainability positioning; and vision and values.
Ms. Gorman's experience includes nearly 20 years in consulting roles, and seven years leading corporate communications for Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, she served as senior director of associate communications at OfficeMax, where she played an integral role in merger communications to employees when the company was acquired by a competitor. Previously, she was director of communications at Solo Cup Company, leading all internal and external communication for the organization; and a senior vice president of corporate communications at Dig Communication (presently Olson).
Ms. Gorman spent 10 years at Burson-Marsteller in Chicago, leading client business in the corporate communications practice; and contributing to the change communications specialty practice. She also has served as a member of the advanced-technology and healthcare practices at Hill & Knowlton (presently Hill+Knowlton Strategies) in Chicago. Her client experience includes Ameritech Cellular (presently AT&T), the Business Roundtable, Ford Motor Company, McDonald’s, Miller Brewing Company (presently MillerCoors) and Walmart. She has experience working with several financial institutions; and healthcare and life science organizations as well.
Ms. Gorman is a graduate of Illinois State University, with bachelor degrees in graphic design and marketing. She holds a certification in change management from Prosci®.
