About Cheryl
Cheryl Warren is a health care executive with extensive leadership experience in major academic medical centers and community hospitals.
Ms. Warren has superb management and operational experience and has focused on throughput and operations. She has strong problem analysis and resolution skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment and is committed to the delivery of compassionate, professional health care.
Ms. Warren has significant experience in the development and implementation of progressive Case Management models to achieve high quality and efficient care delivery, as well as the development of aggressive strategies for LOS reduction, appeals management, and observation rate reduction. In addition to her role at FTI, she also serves as President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Case Management Association (ACMA).
Prior to joining FTI, Ms. Warren served as Vice President, Clinical Support Services at Melrose Wakefield Healthcare. Her responsibilities included Ambulatory, Geriatric Community APN Program, Case Management, Utilization Management, Social Work, and Post-Acute Care Transitions. She implemented a leadership model to support business aspect of care delivery through enhanced care coordination including a community-based approach and a federally funded care transitions grant (3026) resulting in an 18% reduction in readmissions for a high-risk patient population, among other major initiatives.
Ms. Warren also previously served as a consulting associate where she provided on-site organizational assessments for Care Management, Admitting, Billing and Finance. She specialized in observation/inpatient leveling models, denials/appeals, and LOS reduction strategies. In addition, Ms. Warren co-authored an article titled Excellence in Population Health about a successful community-based care transitions program model, which was published in the Professional Case Management journal in 2019.
Ms. Warren holds a B.S. Degree in Nursing with high honors from Curry College, as well as a Masters degree from Regis College in Nursing Administration. Ms. Warren also received her Registered Nurse diploma from St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center School of Nursing.
