Jack Westphal

Jack Westphal is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment and is based in Seattle.

Mr. Westphal has more than 15 years of experience performing lost profit and construction cost claims analyses, preparing environmental response cost claim packages, financial forecasting and budgetary analysis, construction cost and contract audits, and fraud investigations. His industry experience includes construction, agriculture, environmental remediation, government contracts, education, airports & seaports, mining, and manufacturing. Mr. Westphal has served as an expert on both residential and commercial construction disputes.

Mr. Westphal has significant experience preparing and analyzing construction claims on behalf of both owners and contractors both in the United States and internationally. He has performed numerous construction contract cost audits and forensic investigations to assess the sufficiency of documentation supporting claimed amounts. Mr. Westphal also has considerable experience assisting clients with the recovery of environmental response costs incurred under Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). He has developed numerous environmental response cost claim packages commensurate with NCP accurate accounting recovery standards.

Mr. Westphal has a B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Washington. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants.
