John Reese

John Reese has worked to improve cost performance and drive integration synergies in a wide array of healthcare organizations. Mr. Reese advises clients on financial risk and how to improve operations to improve departmental function.

Mr. Reese has consistently met client needs in a variety of organizations across the healthcare industry. With a wide range of experience, most of his focus is on improving the effectiveness of sourcing and contract management to positively impact operations through performance improvement, operational due diligence and integration activities. His project results cover a scope of operational subject areas, including contracted services and supplier expense management, workforce management, shared services implementation, synergy evaluation, business intelligence and analytics implementation. In addition to process improvement, diligence and cost reduction efforts, Mr. Reese improves the policies and cultural norms that contribute to cost inflation by instituting controls and governance to address performance gaps.

Mr. Reese’s relevant experience includes the establishment of a workforce optimization program systemwide, resulting in productivity improvements, KPI standardization and non-labor cost reduction in a large senior care organization. He has aided in the identification and implementation of synergies and EBITDA improvement opportunities in pharmaceutical, reference laboratory, medical supply sourcing and distribution in a large behavioral health provider merger integration. Lastly, he has been involved in third-party Request for Proposal (“RFP”) administration for distribution and security services at a Regional Medical Center in the Northeast and management of third-party distribution contract negotiations.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Reese worked as a Business Intelligence Manager at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he advised perioperative, financial and clinical leadership.
