Rory O'Brien

Rory O’Brien is the EMEA Head of the Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment and Co-Leader of the Global Insurance Services practice at FTI Consulting. Based in London, he leads a multidisciplinary team of experts across the region and is responsible for driving growth and performance.

Rory has worked in the insurance industry for more than 35 years. During this period, he has held a number of senior-line management roles at insurers and leadership roles within professional services companies.

Rory founded RPC Consulting in February 2015 and was the Managing Partner until his departure in 2017. Whilst there, he established a new insurance-focused actuarial consulting, software and management business through an acquisition and expanded the team to 65 actuaries, data scientists and management consultants.

Prior to RPC Consulting, Rory worked at Towers Watson, which he joined as part of the acquisition of EMB Corporation in January 2011.; He was later appointed as Global Head of Risk Consulting & Software. At EMB, Rory was the Managing Partner and was also responsible for the Insurance Management Consultancy practice.

Preceding Towers Watson, Rory was the Group Chief Executive at Guardian Holdings, one of the largest publicly quoted Caribbean Financial services companies. Earlier in his career, Rory was a partner in the Financial Services Division and Joint Head of Insurance Consulting at Deloitte. He also worked in the Actuarial and Insurance Consulting practice of Bacon & Woodrow and in various accounting roles within Legal and General in the UK and Abbey Life in Ireland.
