About Ryan
Ryan Chiang is a Managing Director in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment at FTI Consulting and is based in Washington, D.C. Mr. Chiang is a member of the Activism and M&A Solutions practice.
Mr. Chiang is experienced in corporate governance and shareholder activist situations, advising on both on the activist and issuer side. He was part of the initial working group to develop FTI Consulting’s Activism Vulnerability Screener, which is a proprietary model that measures the vulnerability of public companies in the United States and Canada to shareholder activism by collecting criteria relevant to activist investors and benchmarking to sector peers. Additionally, Mr. Chiang is experienced in data analytics and has led numerous engagements involving the collection and analysis of financial and operational data for the purposes of fraud investigation, regulatory and litigation response, financial reporting and analysis and accounting and financial systems data reconciliation.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Chiang was the lead corporate governance analyst at T. Rowe Price Associates, a publicly owned company with more than $1.4 trillion in assets under management. In that position, he was responsible for the firm’s proxy voting recommendations, engaging with issuers on governance and proxy related topics, and conducting governance related portfolio reviews for the firm’s holdings.
Mr. Chiang began his career with Accenture, where he was a systems integration analyst. He holds a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from the University of Maryland and serves on the Board for the National Links Trust.
