Scott Freidenrich

Scott Freidenrich is a Senior Advisor in FTI Consulting’s Financial Services practice, focusing on balance sheet management, treasury and CFO reporting and operations, investor relations, governance and regulation for banks, broker-dealers and other financial institutions and corporations. Mr. Freidenrich also works with financial technology companies in advisory board roles. He has more than 30 years of treasury, finance and investor relations experience in the bank and broker dealer industry.

Mr. Freidenrich served as Global Treasurer at BNY Mellon for 12 years. During that period, he also served as President of their Office of the Comptroller of the Currency regulated bank subsidiary, managed investor relations, developed and led Resolution and Recovery Management and was responsible for the company’s Pension and 401K investment program team. He implemented and managed several post-Dodd-Frank Act era regulatory policies and procedures. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, he held various roles at Citigroup including Head of Prime Broker Institutional Sales, Group Head of Investor Relations and Global Treasurer of the Corporate and Investment Bank. He served on the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee (“TBAC”), which is governed by federal statute and meets quarterly with the U.S. Treasury Department.

Among his specific areas of expertise, Mr. Freidenrich works extensively on asset and liability management, securities portfolio management, capital management, debt and funding execution, interest rate risk management, liquidity risk management, foreign exchange hedging, internal management and external reporting, board governance and regulatory relationship management.

Given his roles, Mr. Freidenrich is well versed in client, investor and rating agency relationship management. He has significant experience in presentations to boards, regulators and government authorities.

Mr. Freidenrich holds a B.S. degree in Finance from Rutgers University and an M.B.A. from the Fordham Gabelli School of Business.
