Steve Morris

Steve Morris provides and implements solutions to improve every aspect of the asset management lifecycle – shortening time to value and increasing both capital and O&M efficiency.  He has more than 30 years of experience in improving organizations' decision-making and execution of asset-related work.  He has expertise in asset management system development, process development, and competence development.

Mr. Morris provides professional services and expertise in many areas including asset management governance, asset management strategy, asset management planning, asset risk management, and asset lifecycle modeling.  He also provides professional services related to, technology enablement and data driven solutions to help clients improve efficiency, minimize risk, and achieve better results.

Mr. Morris has served in a variety of capacities to lead and support Asset Lifecycle Management across a breath of large projects, programs and portfolios. His background in business development and asset management has established him as a leader in the space and has enabled him to lead a variety of management consulting engagements for North American electric and gas utilities.  This includes multi-year, full scale asset management transformations of organizations which have enabled clients to achieve significant improvements in cost management, risk management, and asset performance.

• Canadian Gas Utility - Engagement lead for development of economic lifecycle models for 33 asset classes
• U.S. Electric Transmission BU – Engagement lead for 3-yr transformational development and implementation on an Asset Management organization
• Canadian Electric Utility - Engagement lead for gap assessment of AM functions and development of an Enterprise Asset Management operating model
• U.S. Electric T&D BU - Provided IAM-endorsed Foundation and Certificate training for over 300 employees as part of asset management transformation 
• Canadian Electric Utility – Provided written and oral testimony regarding asset management maturity for rate case
