Steve Schwartz

Steve Schwartz is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting, based in New York. For more than 17 years, Steve has seamlessly managed all of the technical intricacies associated with large and high-profile matters. He has experience in the U.S. and internationally, including the U.K., France, Switzerland, Turkey, Columbia, Brazil, Singapore, Korea and China with project exposures exceeding $7 billion.

Steve works closely with trial teams to ensure the voluminous amount of evidence and matter-related information is organized and readily accessible for use in court. He partners with clients to determine and execute the most effective setup of audiovisual equipment. As a main technology point of contact for clients, Steve helps clients achieve a successful outcome within the approved budget. In addition to his work in supporting trial teams, Steve leads the development team of FTI Consulting’s TrialMax Cloud® product. TrialMax Cloud® was initially developed to meet the needs of complex litigation teams, particularly in serial and multi-district litigation, by offering an online portal to review, collaborate and generate reports from video depositions and manage trial exhibits in one central location. More recently, he has led the development of the TrialMax Cloud® portal - a single point of entry to prepare for and participate in remote trials, hearings, depositions, and arbitrations.

Having helped to develop the tools and practices to reliably support remote international arbitration hearings, Steve helps lead FTI Consulting's ongoing development and provision of those services to a global list of law firms and arbitration bodies.

With more than 17 years' experience in a variety of related roles, Steve is a recognized expert in dispute-related technology. He coauthored a chapter entitled Use of "Graphics, Demonstratives and Trial Technology" in the American Bar Association's Construction Trial Deskbook. published in 2021, which seeks to provide attorneys with basic understanding of tools available to present evidence electronically in the Courtroom, along with best practices to ensure seamless presentations, present an impactful case, and make a clear record.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Steve was a Senior Project Consultant at TrialGraphix. He also gained extensive information technology experience as a network technician and database consultant for several organizations including Coldwell Banker Real Estate, George Mason University and UUNET/MCI WorldCom.
