About Gina
Gina Gutzeit leads the Office of the CFO Solutions practice and specializes in advising on operational and financial improvements, restructurings and project management. Ms. Gutzeit has more than 30 years of experience and she has held numerous interim management roles, including Chief Financial Officer. She has industry expertise in many areas, including financial services, health care, pharmaceutical, transportation, service providers, retail, distributors, manufacturers, hospitality and real estate.
Ms. Gutzeit has considerable experience in the assessment, recommendation and implementation of operational improvement strategies; evaluation and enhancement of global cash management and forecasting systems; direction and realignment of finance and accounting staff to comply with audit and compliance requirements, as well as with redesigned internal processes and procedures; improvement of monthly financial reporting and forecasting tools; refinancing of secured debt, including preparation of integrated financial projections and direct negotiations with lenders; negotiation of payment plans with vendors and other creditor constituencies and presentation updates to the Board of Directors and their audit committees, and has worked closely with management and other professionals.
Ms. Gutzeit has served as financial advisor to numerous companies experiencing financial and operational changes and has advised on all aspects of finance transformation, cash flow management and revenue enhancement programs, performance improvement programs to improve financial reporting, monthly close processes and related business processes.
Ms. Gutzeit has provided assistance in preparing subsidiaries for transactions, negotiations with lenders and creditors, assessing divestiture and consolidation/integration and forecasting the related financial impact. Moreover, she has project managed the transformation of the back office, including redesigning workflow, functions and procedures focusing on resource management and realigning the finance organization structure.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Gutzeit was a Partner within the Financial Advisory Services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, focused on restructuring. She is also the author of a chapter on benchmarking in Professional Services Firm Bible by John Baschab and Job Piot that focuses on back office functions such as finance, human resources and IT departments. Ms. Gutzeit is a member of the Board of Trustees and chairperson of the finance committee of Richmond University Medical Center where she worked with senior management during the transition to a standalone hospital.
